Bombshell Hump Day Blog Hop 8
So it's Wednesday and it's time to Blog Hop around the Bombshell Girls' blogs again!
Here's how it works:
Start at any of the Design Team Member Blogs and take a peek at their Hump Day project. Leave them a comment and tell them what you think about it! Then follow the links to the other DT member blogs and leave them comments. The more comments you make, the more entries you will have to win a great prize from Bombshell Stamps at the end of the month!
You could win:
This week's Challenge!
Yep, good ol' Martha Stewart, you can always count on some fun crafting ideas. This week's challenge is to use her Coffin Template to create your own Coffin and do it up Bombshell Style!
So play along by popping along to Martha's site and picking up the templates!
I decided to make my 'Bombshell' girl into an Angel AND a Devil- you can decide which one suits your mood by giving her a little spin!
LOVED making the little coffin- really easy and quick to do- I made mine slightly smaller than Martha's so it was the right size for my Bombshell!
Here you can see the ANGELIC BOMBSHELL with Sugar Daddy- he's a Baaaaad Old Wolf!!!
Look at that CRAZY zoot suit!!
Sugar Daddy was paper pieced with October Afternoon papers from Report Card and Farm Fresh and coloured using Copics C1, C3, C5, C7, C9, his shoes with E31, E15,E17,E18
Angel Bombshell was coloured using E00, E02, R20, her outfit was V000,V12 and V17 and her hair was E15,E17,E18
Devil girl was coloured using Copics R22, R27, R29 and R59 her outfit is the same as the Angel Girl.
Here's a little film of the Coffin Spinner in action!
And remember this month there are......
MORE CHANCES TO WIN!!!!!
To enter, create a card similar to the layout shown below & post it HERE on Rubber Stamp Chat. Enter as many times as you like, and use whatever stamps you choose...no company or style restrictions. It's that easy, and we hope you'll join us in this fun challenge!
Everyone that plays will be entered in a drawing for the "Love & Luck" stamp set shown below, and elegantly displayed on Kathi's card above. The stamps come mounted on static cling cushion and ready to use with your favorite acrylic blocks.
So OFF you hop!!!

Alternate Christmas
Now I'm not a HOOGE fan of Christmas and so I don't have many Christmas stamps but by choosing the right colours and embellishments you can transform almost any stamped image into a Christmas Special!
This stamp started out as the Pirate Girlfrom Bombshell Stamps.
The papers are Cosmo Cricket (Jolly by Golly) and she's coloured with Copics
This is a Stampotique stamp coloured again with Copics. The card is decorated using MAking Memories and Basic Grey papers and QuicKutz die cuts.
Finally this is a Gorjuss Girl Stamp from Sugar Nellies, coloured with Copics. Papers used were Cosmo Cricket Jolly by Golly with Primas, QuicKutz die cuts and beads.
Happy Crafting!!

Hump Day Bombshell Blog Hop 7!!
This week's challenge is to do some paper piecing. This challenge is perfect for those leftover scraps of DP that you just can't throw away. Now you can put them to good use! Instead of hoarding these precious pieces, stamp your favorite image directly onto the paper and cut it out. Voila! You have the perfect patterned paper to compliment your favorite Bombshell stamp.
Remember leave a comment on each of the DT's blogs for a chance to win some FABULOUS Bombshell Goodies:
Here are my Halloween Bombshells using this month's colour scheme of Orange, Green, Purple and Black.
I transformed my three Bombshells into a Covern of Witches by colouring their skin a lovely green!
At the very back (this is a three layer tunnel card) is the Bombshell from Man's Ruin trimmed and sat upon her broomstick.
Next is Butterfly Queen who has a cloak to 'swish' in a suitably evil manner, created from patterned papers.
At the front is Feisty Witch! She started out as a Pirate from It's a Pirate Life Bombshells. Her 'Super Witch' outfit was created by paper piecing October Afternoon papers.
All witchy accessories, cauldron, broomstick and hats are from the Holiday Accessories Bombshell set (Oh so useful!)
Other Bombshells used are Sugar Skulls and Sugar Daddy.
I used Copic pens to colour in the Bombshells and embellished with Stickles Glitter Glue and Prima flowers.
Thanks for visiting- now hop off to the other Bombshell Blogs for inspiration and a chance to win!

Whoop Whoop!!!
Woo-hoo one happy crafter here!!!
After dropping childs (!) 2 & 3 at school Me,the Beagues, my pal Lorraine and her pooch Freddie headed out for the park.
Well it was a damp walk to say the least- but we were troopers anyway!!
It was that horrible fine drizzle that just SOAKS into everything.
I was wearing my pink striped fleece and I looked and felt like a very soggy Bagpuss!
Not a great day to be a glasses wearing peep!
When I got home my jeans were soaked, my socks were damp and my hairstyle had been converted to that of 'drowned rat!'
STILL at 11am thinks perked up considerably when the postman delivered my new BOMBSHELLS!!!!
Whoop-whoop!!!
Just sticking these on the EZ mount and despite using he powder i will be covered in yakky, sticky goo soon- mucky bag that I am!!!

So this week The Bommbshell Girls are sharing with your the mistakes and horrors that we ALL have lurking at the back of our craft cupboards:
What was I thinking?
We've all done it; made one of those purchases that just seem perfect in the middle of a store with a coupon in hand. Then, when you get home, you look at it and say, "What was I thinking?" So that's our challenge for this week. We've pulled that purchase out of your stash and got crafty with it BOMBSHELL STYLEE!!
So I FINALLY dug out the shrink plastic! This was an impulse purchase from a close out sale at a local craft shop. Whilst the plastic shrinks perfectly without to much unnerving curling and crazy whipping about- it seems however to be allergic to any colouring medium!! No matter what medium I use and no matter the technique I use to apply this shrink plastic repels it!!!
So when faffing around with the plastic I stamped on it with black Staz-On and didn't bother to colouring it, then I shrank it. I really liked the effect- my 'DH' said it looked a little like Scrimshaw (so he got a big kiss for being so nice!!).
The earrings were made using a Skull die from QuicKutz which I stampedwith the flowers from the Hula Girl Bombshell Stamp set.
The keyring was also made from shrink plastic cut with the QuicKutz Revolution and stamped with stamps from Retro Cowgirls and A Pirate's Life Bombshell sets.
I threaded the shrinkies onto Tim Holtz Swivel Clasps and attatched various other Tim Holtz charms (I love their grungey look!)
Remember to punch a hole in the Shrinkies BEFORE you shrink them so you can thread a jump ring through. Make this hole larger than normal to allow for shrinkage!

October perfect for a little Voodoo!!
It was my pal archi's birthday last Saturday and as she has a cool sense of humour I made this for her:
Along with this little ditty:
If you are feeling stressed out
Or annoyed by what you hear
just take a pin
and stick it IN
make anger disappear!!
I’m just a little dolly
and though I have no hair
there is a special point to me
and you can stick it THERE!
For I’m your Voodoo Dolly
and though I am quite plain
just take a pin
and stick it IN...
and sanity will reign!
So don't worry I'm not a Voodoo follower or a witch (usually!!)
Happy Birthday Archi!!!

When I was colouring in my Pirate Parrot Bombshell the other week I remembered those spinners where you have an empty cage on one side and a parrot on the other. When you spin the spinner the parrot magically appears in the cage!!
So for world card Day here's my version of a Spinner card or 'Put the Parrot in the Cage'!!
Here's a tutorial for the card and spinner- click on the images to see a bigger version....
And here it is in action!!!
