I've just discovered the gorgeous stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn and my main supplier (yes they are addictive!) is Make The Day Special !

So on MTDS's blog is a challenge....

.... and it took a little while to find my first card I blogged as my early blogging was a lot of waffling and scrapbooking but here is my first card,

Hello!

Hiya!
Sorry I have been MIA since February- had some major health issues which went on for weeks and ended up with me having an emergency gall bladder removal at the end of March!
All very weird having never been in hospital except to have our three babies and I ended up there for almost three weeks!
Had great service form the amazing nurses, doctors and surgeons at the John Radcliffe hosp in Oxford!

It took quite a few weeks to recover from being ill and then to recover from the operation so my mojo has been sadly lacking all these months. However I had a wonderful birthday present from my pal Ginger who gave me a set of Spectrum Noir pencils! How wonderful is she?! So to celebrate I had my first play with my pencils....

I used the beautiful Victoria & Otto stamp by Brian Kesinger from Viva Las Vegastamps!
I've decided to enter my first card into the VLVS July Challenge which is a nature theme- as you can see Victoria and Otto are reading in the garden surrounded by roses!

January Bombshell Hump Day HOP!!!!

It's Wednesday, the third Wednesday of the month which means it's time for the Bombshell BLOG HOP! Alison has a ROARING theme for us this month!

"This month's theme was Animal Instincts. I wanted the participants to use at least one of the many animals Bombshell has to offer, or one of our animal patterns" Alison

Girl's Ruin & Bombshell Patterns

I stamped the Leopard Print stamp from the Bombshell Patterns stamp set in black Memento ink several times onto Neena paper. I then coloured all over the stamped leopard print with my pale turquoise pen (Spectrum Noir BT2) and the filled in the leopard spots with BT5.

I then stamped the Girl's Ruin stamp concentrating the shoe onto the coloured leopard print paper I created. I then cut out the shoe so it was a leopard print shoe!

12 Days of Creepmas- Day 11

Already it's the penultimate day of the 12 Days of Creepmas- it's zoomed by and I've had a blast joining in with the challenges and seeing everyone's projects!!

I created a background using Spectrum Noir pens BGR1, BGR2, BGR3, BGR4.
Victoria and her Pterodactyl were coloured using DG1, DG2, DG3, TN6, TN8 ; GT1, GT2, GT3, CR6, DR5, DR7.

I had fun embossing a tag covered in foil tape- i didn't want it to be too shiny so I slapped on white paint then rubbed it down a little!
I used my Alice stamp from Kraftin' Kimmie coloured with Spectrum Noir pens.
Alice has obviously fallen down the Christmas Well surrounded by Sizzix Movers and Shapers dies all embossed with gold and silver WOW! embossing powder!

12 Days of Creepmas- Day 6

Today is Day 6 and I had fun decorating and glittering a pilchard tin- well washed of course!

I painted the tin white with acrylic paint then covered it with glue and dry Rock Candy glitter.
I added a Melissa Francis mini Christmas tree and a Spellbinder snowflake.
I stuck Tim Holtz tinsel around the edge of the tin and stamped out a Waltzing Mouse tag and sentiment in silver embossing powder.
Finally I stamped Stampotique Gobby Lin and coloured him with Spectrum Noir pens and stick him in the tin.

Today is Day 2 of the 12 Days of Creepmas and with the change in the weather I decided to go a little frosty with Bombshell Stamp's Man's Ruin and a lotta ice!!

12 Days of Creepmas -Day 1

I' playing along again with Smeared & Smudged 12 Days of Creepmas here is my forst project:

I used a Cricut gears embossing folder on the tag and verdigris, gold and white paint for a faux metal look.

I stamped a Waltzingmouse tag and sentiment and embossing in gold and silver embossing powder and attached it to the tag.

I stamped and coloured Brian Kesinger amazing Victoria & Otto in the TARDIS stamp and coloured them with Spectrum Noir pens.

I added some wooden stars, a clock charm and pin with coloured seam binding and that's it!

Bombshell Blog Hop- November!

Hello everyone!
Hard to believe another month is almost at it's end and it's so close to Christmas now!
With the end of the month comes the Bombshell Hump Day Blog Hop and here is Alison with this month's theme for your inspiration!

This month's theme is Water World. So I want you to incorporate water or water loving elements into your projects this month! There are so many sets that you can use for this such as Homeward Bound, A Pirate's Life, Mermaid Treasure, Mermaid Anchor, Ahoy Sailor, Lotus Garden, Koi Tattoo and our Hawaiian themed stamps.

I'd love to be able to paint with watercolours so this is my version of it!

I stamped Koi Tattoo onto some Ranger Water Color cardstock with Versamark ink and embossed it with Wow! Platinum embossing powder which has a beautiful silky look with a hint of gold to the deep silver.
I took a thick paint brush and covered the watercolour card with water so it sat on the surface and quickly applied splodges of Tim Holtz Distress Stains, I used Salty Ocean, Mowed Lawn, Picked Raspberry, Fired Brick and Seedless Preserve. 
I splodged the Distress Stains onto the wet cardstock and allowed them to wick out and go where they wanted- I liked the way they mixed and flowed.
When I was happy with the look of the Koi I used some kitchen roll to soak up the excess water then left the piece to dry.

It was a bit scary leaving things to chance but it was also fun to see the colours develop!
