September Bombshell Hump Day HOP!!

Hello!!
This is the month where Summer fades slowly into gorgeous Autumn and just today we have had wonderful autumnal mists and dew coloured cobwebs-very atmospheric!

Alison's theme this month is a great one- guaranteed to blow away any cobwebs

"This month, the theme is "Speed Demons: Masters of Transportation." Bombshell has lots of cool vehicles. Motorcycles, cars, even a beautiful ship! Make any of these items the focus of your project this month."

I was feeling in the need for some inkiness in my life so I reached for my Distress Stains, water spray bottle and manila tags and ended up with lovely inky fingers!

I splatted Distress Stains onto a non stick sheet and spritzed them with a bit of water.
I took a manila tag and swirled it into the ink a few times until the tag was covered.
I dried the tags with my heat gun (because I have no patience!) and inked around the edges of the tag with a darker ink.
I then took a variety of Bombshell Stamps from the Hot Rod range which has Kool Cars, Super Motorbikes and Stripe Lining stamps using a dark brown ink.
I then stamped a few images onto cardstock I'd coloured with a single Distress Stain and cut the image out and stuck them on to the tags.
One tag had Tim Holtz mini gears added and both tags had coloured twine threaded through them.

Ms. September's Challenge!

Ms September, Jenn Cochran issued a 'Layer It Up' challenge to use at least three layers, paper, paint ink, ribbon etc on our Bombshell project!

I was inspired by Jenn's challenge to create an altered art project with a tinned fish tin!!
After washing the pilchard tin a few times to ensure it was thoroughly clean I painted the tin with acrylic paint and patterned paper and lined the inside with patterned paper.
For the front of the tin I used a Decorative Label Eight Spellbinder die cut in blue paper which I then cut an oval in the middle of- I stuck this to the front of the tin.

I used a small butterfly and the sentiment from Butterfly Dreams & the Moth from Butterfly Queen- stamping them and colouring them with Distress Inks and Distress Markers for a soft look.
I cut out the two butterflies and mounted them on foam tape and stuck them in the tin.
I added a pin to each butterfly like the old fashioned butterfly collections.

I added some leaf ribbon, pearls and Stickles glitter plus I stamped the 'Butterfly Dreams' sentiment onto kraft cardstock and added this to the front of my butterfly tin.

Hope you enjoyed Ms September's challenge!
