Ms June's Challenge

Sharon Rogers, Bombshell's Ms. June, has issued a "Be Clear" challenge! She challenges us to use acetate or vellum with your Bombshell stamps to create a fabulous project!
Here's what I created:

I used Loutus Garden which I stamped onto acetate with Staz-On ink. I used Stickles glitter glues to colour in the koi on the back of the acetate to create a shimmery semi-transparent look.

I hope you like my card now pop over to the Bombshell Blog to see the lovely projects created by the rest of our wonderful Design Team!

Bombshell January BLOG HOP!!!

Baby It's Cold Outside!
Well another month has rocketed by and here we are at the last Wednesday of January which can only mean one thing...it's BOMBSHELL BLOG HOP time!!!

Alison's theme this month:

It's time to announce the January 2013 Hump Day Hop theme! I don't know about you, but I am cold!!! That's why I decided to make this month's theme "Baby, it's Cold Outside." Make a winter themed project, use the title of the hop as a sentiment, dress your Bombshell up in warm clothes (or not!), etc.

Here in England we've just had a thaw from a week's worth of snow. People in other parts of the world who have snow regularly will laugh at how little snow brings the UK to a halt- we're really not used to a lot of snow!
So with the snow and the ice in mind I decided to go with the beautiful Koi from the Lotus Garden Bombshell set and created an icy pond.

I created a background for the Koi with Distress Inks, blending soft blue, pink and lilac together.
I coloured the Koi with Spectrum Noir pens LG1, LG2, LG3, HB1, HB2, HB3, IB1, IB2, IB3, BT2, BT3, BT4.
I cut out the Koi and stuck them onto my inked background.
I coated everything with a layer of crackle medium and immediately sprinkled on some DRy Rock Candy glitter. As this dries it crackles and shimmers because of the glitter rather like an iced up pond!
I covered some white paper with the crackle medium and sprinkled it again with glitter. When dry I used this paper to cut leaf die cuts from (I used QuicKutz Dies) I inked around the leaves edges with a pale blue Distress ink.
I mounted the Koi image onto the card and added the glittery leaves around the edges like a frame!

March Madness Bombshell Blog HOP!!!!

Here we are nearly at the END of March and for us in the United Kingdom the clocks have just SPRUNG forwards and we are enjoying lighter evenings and wonderfully mild weather- WOO-HOO!!!
So it's appropriate that Alison our Blog Hop Capitain has chosen a very spring-like palette for our Blog Hop!

Here's what Alison had to say about the challenge:
I was in the mood for a color challenge...so I found a beautiful palette from http://design-seeds.com/ that I think you will enjoy.

Aren't these colors pretty? Perfect for those of you that want to go the St. Patrick's Day route, but not so green that you couldn't do something else.
You are to use at least 3 of the colors in the palette. But go for the "gold" and try to use all five! Try to keep your colors as close as possible to those shown above. But don't make yourself crazy! Color challenges are great, because you can make anything you want, any theme.

Here's what I made:

Supplies
Lotus Garden Bombshell Stamps
Copic Ciao and Spectrum Noir Pens
Distress Ink
Spellbinders Labels 22
Paterned Papers by October Afternoon, Cosmo Cricket and Fancy Pants

November Hump Day Blog Hop!!!!

Alison has given us a lovely challenge for November, in keeping with the season:

"Hello! It's time to announce the November Hump Day Hop challenge! I kept this one pretty simple...it's a color challenge! And I chose a palette of beautiful shades of orange with a hint of blue.

Please use at least 3 of the colors shown above. They don't have to be the exact shades, but they need to be close to what's shown here. If you have the koi collections, this palette is perfect for you. But of course, these colors will work with pretty much any Bombshell Stamps that you may have."

Here's my take on Alison's challenge:

Supplies:
October Afternoon Patterned Paper
SpellBinders Labels 22
Distress Ink
Copic Ciao and Spectrum Noir pens
