First Quilt TAKE TWO!!!!
SO I was rushing and I bunged my quilt in for a quick wash with my new blouse COMPLETELY forgetting it was an Indian blouse and therefore not Dye fast- DISASTER!!! :(
Despite much washing and dye removal products Quilty Mk 1 was a dingy mess.
So I thought I'd do an overhaul and then realised I actually had enough fabric left to re-do the quilt completely! YAY!!!
So a busy weekend ensued and I'd pieced it together.
I used the scraps to make a border (of which I am very proud as it is traditional, use the leftovers type patchwork!!)
I bought some yummy fabric to back it with and tada- Quilt Mk 2 is ALIVE!!
And yes those beagles and that daughter have already had their mitts/bums on it *sighs*
Hmmm I wonder how my quilt 'grew' hands and legs???!!! *grins*

Love the quilt! I wanted to thank you for leaving a comment on my blog. I really appreciate it. I love the design of your blog!
What an awesome quilt. I'm so proud of you for not giving up after the mishap. That speaks volumes about the kind of person you are.
Thanks so much for the nice comment on my blog. I really love your art too - in fact, I've often thought I'd be thrilled to be half as good as you are someday.
Warmly,
Nicole
Now that is a happy disaster because I bet you were able to work around all the things you didn't like with the pro-type yah? Anyway, it's gorgeous my darling - well done for perseverance and not throwing in the towel. LOL at the hands and feet. Would have liked to have seen a couple of eyes somewhere but one can't have everything, can one? :D
Oooh, how queer because I didn't read the previous comments and now I am reading Nicole's opening paragraph and she says the same thing! Spooky biscuits KT - sounds the X-files music!!!!!
Sometimes these things happen for a reason, lovely bright happy quilt!!
Katie, what a beautiful quilt! Good save ;D
