Snowy Tilda
I am loving these little stamps so much!!
Watercolour pencils and planty of glitter (well I HAD to didn't I??!!) and the beautiful Rhonna Farrar papers that came from Jill @ ATDML thank you so much Jill!!
A rather glittery weekend all round for me!
I've been having great fun opening presents from my Secret Santa- Day 1 was a fabulous chipboard snowflake which I have been busy decorating!! *waggles painty fingers* here's a sneaky peaky
it's super twinkly so I am a happy bunny!
Yesterday I opened my 2nd Advent present and it was a set of the beautiful Pretoria papers from 7gypsies and today I have some matching buckles and handles! My Santa knows me too well!!
So After opening my lovely papers yesterday I decided to crack on with my TALL Doodlebug House. I wanted it to be Christmas/Winter themed so I decided to use the Rhonna Farrar papers again- they are glittered designs- stunning! It's nearly done now- just needs some Chrissy trees and it will be ready!
Speaking of Christmas Trees 'Miss Acorn' and 'The Tall Blonde One'accommpanied me to Homebase on a hunt for sticks of glue for the glue gun (the Doodlebug House!) and we spotted a rather lovely WHITE Christmas tree.
Well we had a white tree when I was a child and I must say I do have a soft spot for them- I think my parents might have first seen them when they lived in Singapore in the 60's. We've been trying to decide whether to go artificial or real this year as we have the new addition to our family- Miss Willow F Beagle!
The kids liked the white tree too so the deal was done! I invested in some rather snazzy blue LED Chrissy lights for the tree (white cables!)so we've gone all hi-tech at last!! To be honest I was fed up of the 'will they , won't they' work with the old style lights each year!!
So Advent is off- calendars are being opened, Secret Santa pressies are creating a very excited ME and the tree is bought, cards are being planned and Pressie shoppping is well under way!
